Description
The AT003 is a laboratory-scale roller gin engineered for cotton breeding, seed multiplication and germplasm evaluation. Instead of high-speed saws it separates lint from seed by friction and mechanical restraint — the gentlest method available — so that boll weight, lint percentage, seed index and fibre quality can all be measured from the same untouched sample.
Throughput is sized for seed-testing work rather than commodity ginning: roughly 20 plants per hour. Because breeding records are kept plant by plant, the bolls from one plant are ginned as a single sample, and the AT003 makes that individual-plant routine fast enough to clear a full selection block in a working day.
The machine is manufactured to a patented design with all-bearing transmission and an integrated motor-and-frame layout. The result is a compact unit that runs with low vibration and low noise, stays safe in continuous hands-on operation, cleans out quickly between varieties, and resists the fibre wrapping that plagues cheaper laboratory gins.
Its most critical parts — the ginning roller and the stationary knife — are hand-lapped on a precision lapping table. This manual fitting is what keeps the knife-to-roller clearance consistent at 1–2 mm, and it is why the AT003 achieves a low seed-cracking rate even on small, high-value breeding lots.
Typical users: cotton research institutes, breeding stations, agricultural universities, seed companies and fibre-testing laboratories that gin dozens of small samples per day and need reproducible, contamination-free results.
